Immediate Tooth Replacement in the esthetic zone: Challenge and Opportunity

Achieving anterior implant esthetics is challenging and demanding procedure, especially when implants are immediately place in the extraction socket. Having a three dimensional vision of the implant position and final restoration in relation to the hard and soft tissue will lead to successful treatment. Planning with understanding the biologic and physiologic limitations of the soft and hard tissue will facilitate predictability in simple to complex esthetic situations.
Surgical techniques, together with implant design are prerequisites for favorable implant stability, and required restorative position. Design of restoration, temporary and final, will guide soft tissues to create a natural look of the replace tooth. New technology, digital planning, and use of digitally created surgical guides makes treatment more accurate, and improves final outcome.

    Presentation outlines:
    1. Immediate tooth replacement; surgical and restorative concept
    2. Immediate vs. Delayed vs. Early placement
    3. How to minimize recession around implants
    4. Restorative techniques for optimal soft tissue development
    5. Use of digital tools to improve treatment outcome
