Prof. Dr. Ali Tahmaseb left Teheran for Belgium as a teenager, where he completed his dental education at the University of Ghent, Belgium, in 1993. Since then he has followed various training programs in oral surgery and implant dentistry throughout Europe and USA. In 2011 he completed his PhD at the University of Amsterdam, ACTA and stayed on to become associate professor in the department of oral implantology and prosthetic dentistry. He was also responsible for research and education in the same department. In 2018 he moved to Erasmus Academic Medical Centre, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, where he was appointed as associate professor at the department of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery. He is active visiting professor at the Belgrade dental school, Implant Centre.
Ali Tahmaseb has about 60 international and national publication and has ben lecturing worldwide in various conferences and courses.
His main research areas are on guided surgery and navigation techniques, CAD/CAM, treatments in esthetic oral area and guided bone regeneration around dental implants. He is co-founder of a novel concept in guided surgery, fellow at International Team of Implantology, ITI and one of the editors of Forum Implantologicum.
Ali Tahmaseb is also active in his private referring offices in Antwerp (Belgium) and Tilburg (Netherlands
