Social media in dentistry: the final frontier?
Social media has become an integral part of modern life, revolutionizing communication, information sharing, and professional interactions. The field of dentistry is no exception, as practitioners, practices, and organizations have eagerly embraced social platforms to connect with patients, network with peers, and promote their services. Social media offers unparalleled opportunities for education, public awareness, and business growth, enabling dental professionals to showcase their expertise, build their reputation, and attract new patients.
However, this newfound digital landscape is not without its challenges. The lack of formal guidelines and an evolving understanding of social media’s impact has introduced significant ethical and professional risks.
