    Abstract title:
Managing vascular complications of perioral region after hyaluronic filler injection. Danger zones and safe techniques.

    Abstract:
Hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers are widely used for facial rejuvenation, but vascular complications remain a potential risk due to the rich network of blood vessels in the face. This presentation discusses the management of vascular complications in the perioral region after HA filler injections, focusing on danger zones, safe techniques, and necrosis treatment.
We present a case of ischemic involvement affecting the chin, lips, and nasolabial area following filler injection, emphasizing the importance of early recognition and intervention. The timely use of hyaluronidase proved critical in preventing necrosis and optimizing both functional and aesthetic outcomes.
Key concepts covered include the identification of early signs of vascular compromise and the role of hyaluronidase in preventing irreversible tissue damage. Additionally, the "danger zones" in the perioral region will be reviewed, along with techniques to minimize risks during filler injections.
By raising awareness of these potential complications and their management, this session aims to help clinicians improve patient safety and outcomes in aesthetic procedures. Attendees will gain valuable insights into recognizing and addressing vascular complications, ensuring safer and more effective treatments in the growing field of aesthetic medicine and dentistry.
