Title:
Digital Dentistry in Oral Rehabilitation: My Evidence-Based Daily Routine
Abstract:
Dentistry is a field of constant evolution and digital technologies offer unprecedented precision and efficiency, particularly in oral rehabilitation. This presentation delves into the integration of digital dentistry into daily clinical practice, supported by evidence-based methodologies. Drawing from personal clinical and research work, but mainly grounded on current research, I will discuss the use of digital imaging, computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems, and digital impression techniques that have transformed patient assessments, treatment planning, and outcomes. We will also travel through AI and its realistic use in dentistry, as well as techniques to develop not only esthetic results, but also functional planning, execution and outcome. Key case studies will highlight the several steps of these technologies in achieving superior aesthetic and functional results in restorative procedures. Additionally, the presentation will explore the challenges and solutions in adopting digital tools, ensuring practical insights for practitioners aiming to incorporate advanced digital techniques into their workflows. This session aims not only to showcase digital dentistry in enhancing oral rehabilitation but also to inform attendees on which technologies to embrace for adequate patient care in their practices.
